1940s Vintage Melody Shirtwaist Dress in Berry Red
The Melody dress is a striking forties look shirtwaister style, replicated from an original vintage garment, right down to the smallest details like the three large feature buttons on the bodice. Made of an all-natural, lightweight and breathable pure cotton-linen blend fabric. The Berry red colourway is a rich, flattering pink-red shade, perfect for spring-summer weather.
- A-line skirt
- Relaxed Havana-style collar
- Chevron-shaped shoulder yoke, with an inset pocket on each side
- Two scooped skirt pockets
- Three large feature buttons on the bodice

- Waistline sits slightly above the natural waist
55% cotton, 45% linen. Wash at 30 degrees. Iron with warm heat. Do not tumble dry. Dry in the shade.

The fabric of the Melody is lighter weight like the original to allow for the bodice detail, but means it is slightly sheer, so you may wish to wear a slip or neutral undergarments with it.
