1940s Floral Tribute Tea Dress in Patchwork
The pattern for our popular Floral Tribute dress was taken directly from an original rationed 11011 or "double elevens" dress, and is a flattering quintessentially 1940s shape. The patchwork print features a carefully replicated original 40s design from an old bale of fabric in our archive. Shades of green, coral, blue and yellow contrast strikingly with the black and white to make this dress a breeze to coordinate.
- Soft gathers into the bust cups and an inverted V waist seam that extends to the sides to create a period-accurate silhouette
- Full skirt that has plenty of swing
- Straight elbow-length sleeves
- Horizontal broad tuck flap on the bodice, which has a double loop which can be tied in a bow or knotted as you like
- A neat concealed zip at the side to fasten
- Light gathering towards the shoulders
- Small fabric-covered shoulder pads
100% rayon. To maintain the integrity of this bespoke print, please either cool hand wash or use your cold washing machine setting when laundering this piece. Warm iron. Do not tumble dry.
