Up To Date With Revival In February 2019
Another Opportunity To Share Our New Stock & Latest News Over The Last Month.
We have kick-started 2019 pretty much as we ended last year with a bit of everything in the way of fresh vintage clothing. We are slowly working through a large influx of stock we purchased at the back end of last year. It was a large diverse collection which has taken a lot of sorting, washing, sewing, photographing, measuring & describing before we go live with it. Among it were some unusual jodhpurs and breeches, most of which are already on the website. Several pairs have been snapped up, everyone has been thrilled with them so far.
Unusual Vintage Trews
Crazy for Cravats
Among the other 'new to you' items for guys are about 30 cravats, with about the same again to process. How do you like my wheel of cravats? My favourite is the green one with border pattern. Most are Tootal and Sammy labels, Rayon and Tricel.
Military Uniforms
We have also got a lot of Military clothing of mixed decades & quality. We have organised everything at our showroom but will probably keep it for visitors & events at the moment rather than creating new categories on our website. As always you are welcome to call in at our showroom just give us a quick call or email first: 01484422255
Vintage Gowns
Think I have spent more time listing womenswear this month. These beautiful gowns take a good three quarter of an hour to put on to the site each because there are so many intricate details to describe and measurements are so critical. Worth it though. They can, of course, be shortened by a decent tailor if you prefer a more conventional length.
Womens Vintage Inspired
We all know the old ones are the best but we also find some pretty good vintage inspired things. This month we have handpicked a few more dresses, hats and bags. We only select items that we feel look authentic rather than gimmicky or novel.
Retro Bags Of Style
We have topped up some of the existing colours of our basic patent frame bags. Check out these four new colours for Spring Summer. You can pick out a shade to coordinate with your favourite vintage dress.
Over To You
We have said many times how we love to send us pictures of you wearing our vintage. Here's a couple of our customers who have done just that.
Zac & his partner all set to attend a local vintage event. He wears a camel vintage covert coat from Revival.
Wendy braves the cold to take this snap in her Revival original 1940s dress.
Katie wears a dress she purchased from us under her own lovely coat and accessories.
Thank you very much & please keep them coming.
Another reminder that our first vintage event of the year at York racecourse for the weekend 27-28 April Festival of Vintage. We are in our usual spot in the main vintage trading area, ground floor. Look forward to seeing some of you there. This is Mark and I last year.
Until next time, have a great month. Helene X
