Up To Date With Revival In April 2018
VINTAGE NEW IN APRIL
Despite a month of extreme weather conditions the sun shone generously at our first vintage event of the year York Festival of Vintage.
We had a great weekend enjoying the company of our fellow traders and customers during this popular fair at York Racecourse.
As we drove through the outskirts of York I was reminded of the years I spent there studying Fashion Design straight after I left school. Happy Memories.
So what's new on the website this month. Lots of lovely new vintage stock with a lot more still to add.
VINTAGE LOOKS FOR WOMEN
Following on from my talk of York race course I can tell you we have a bounty of new to us original vintage 1940s and 50s hats
I am hoping to add the rest today once I have completed this update.Sadly we said goodbye to Amelia our awesome Huddersfield uni intern. What a star she has been and we will miss her skills and enthusiasm. Doesn't she look fabulous modelling the said hats.
It goes without saying if we have a new hat we really must have a new bag to coordinate. Take your pick from our latest collection on the website. Here's just a few ideas.
The dresses you see are also available to buy. along with a lot more newly added styles. I did promise an influx of new stock for us ladies the hardest part for me is not keeping it all for myself.
If you clicked on our St Georges day bulletin you will also have noticed we are experimenting with some new clear rain macs. Produced in a UK factory. Designed to wear with full skirted 50s dresses. Shame to cover our lovely dresses when the heavens open, these trench coats offer us the best of both worlds.
VINTAGE LOOKS FOR MEN
Happy to announce two new shirts styles have arrived. These join our popular plain white 1930s 1940s peaky blinders style club collar shirts.
Each colour comes in two versions. With or without a gold top collar stud which is a gold shank button to give the appearance of a stud. On there way are stripe spearpoint shirts. Creating our own brand products is a timely process that we will continue to grow steadily. Our next project is a pair of camel / light brown fish tail trousers with back buckle detail. I have designed and cut the pattern, our sample is being produced right now.
Also for the guys this month, we have a stack of great ties to photograph and list including this selection of original American swing ties. I had better get cracking, can't stay chatting all day.
Our next event is at Scarborough Spa on Sunday 06 May.
