Socialite is for those who appreciate the details most people never notice.

When we first manufactured our own products they came under the Revival Vintage label. We started with the basics, men's shirts, trousers then a couple of women’s dresses. As we gained confidence and grew our knowledge we introduced styles with more complex designs. We started to experiment with original fabric prints as well as the garment patterns. At that point we decided to elevate these authentic replicas to the new status of Socialite.

We felt this fit the bill perfectly for the vision we had for the range as it progressed. Every Socialite garment starts with an obsession for getting it right. So what makes them so special?

They are set apart for a number of reasons:

Patterns

We take paper patterns from original garments to ensure the silhouettes are of the time. Every seam, dart, pleat and pocket placement is copied from original garments wherever possible. We are bringing back to life historical time pieces which ensure our reproduction pieces are as authentic as they can be for replica garments. Only some of the period accurate features you can expect:

• Additional elbow darts
• Hem godets
• Covered buttons
• Concealed press studs
• Rouleau loops 
• Fishtail backs
• Top stitching
• Period linings

All adding extra cost to our manufacturing yet ensures we are staying true to our brand and that our customers can rely on us for looks that are acceptable to a Hollywood blockbuster. We still manage to offer exceptional value for the level of accuracy.

Design

The design process is all done in house. Once we have a toile from our original garment we cast a keen eye to ensure the style can be graded successfully across all sizes and whilst maintaining the integrity of the garment we are also mindful of modern expectations in terms of comfort and care. Sometimes this can involve multiple samples, it's a timely process.

Fabrics

We use prime quality fabrics often using natural blends of cotton, linen, Rayon and Viscose. If there is a print to the design it will also be a copy of the original fabric pattern.

Men's formal shirts are labelled Socialite when a superior grade of cotton is used with a high thread count.

Accessories such as trouser braces are Socialite when we have used non-standard leather colours for the attachment loops. All subtle differences which just edge them into a class of their own for those discerning men and women where attention to detail is important.

Craftsmanship & Presentation

The attention to detail doesn't end when a Socialite garment leaves the factory. Every piece is carefully prepared to ensure it reaches you looking and feeling as exceptional as it should.

Unlike many retailers, every Socialite garment is photographed on real models so you can see how each piece fits, drapes and moves when worn. We believe this provides a far more accurate representation than flatlays or mannequin photography, helping you shop with confidence.

Our men's suits are stored on hangers rather than folded, preserving their shape and ensuring they arrive ready to wear with minimal creasing. Every ladies' suit is carefully pressed and steamed before dispatch, allowing the fabric and tailoring to look their very best from the moment you open the box.

These may seem like small details, but they reflect the philosophy behind the Socialite collection. From the way each garment is manufactured to the way it is photographed, stored and packaged, every stage is approached with the same commitment to quality, craftsmanship and authenticity.

Limited Editions

Every Socialite garment is manufactured in limited batches by small specialist factories chosen for their craftsmanship and attention to detail. Rather than mass producing our collections, we create each design in carefully controlled quantities, ensuring every piece remains distinctive.

Because we work with premium fabrics sourced in limited runs, many designs are produced just once. When a cloth is gone, it is often impossible to source again, making each garment a genuinely limited edition. Occasionally, an exceptionally popular style may return, but rarely as an exact replica. Instead, it might be reimagined in a new colourway or refined with subtle design updates, allowing the collection to evolve while preserving the exclusivity that defines Socialite.

Of course, you don't have to take our word for it. Our clothing is trusted time and again by costume departments working across film, television and theatre, where authenticity isn't simply appreciated, it's essential.

Production teams need a reliable source of period accurate clothing that convincingly transports audiences to another era.
