Are you heading to vintage nostalgia events like Twinwood festival or the Goodwood Revival this year? Considering going for the first time? As has become tradition for us at Revival, we've put together a selection of immaculately styled outfits for both men and women to make it easier than ever to dress the part in a stylish 1940s or 50s look.
Here we've compiled a few of our looks for you to browse. If you're attending with a partner, these might also give you some ideas about which outfits pair well together.
First up, we have a pair of comfortable and casual outfits with a classic 1950s vibe that will be easy to wear throughout the day. Martyn wears our What's Cookin' outfit and Eleanor wears Melody Maker. Both the
Hawaiian shirt and
Melody dress featured here are made of light cotton, which will be nice and breezy if the weather is hot, while the cardigans can provide a bit of warmth into the evening.
This pair of outfits has a sophisticated and yet summery 1940s feel. Cameron wears our Casablanca outfit and Molly wears Weekend Matinee. The
Gadabout suit, complete with
waistcoat, and the more formal crepe
Matinee dress both create an effortless impression. These ensembles are sure to wow at whatever event you attend!
Another more casual choice: Martyn wears Green Flag and Eleanor wears Working Holiday in this image. If you're newer to vintage fashion and not so comfortable wearing a three piece suit or an attention-grabbing hat, these outfits are great choices, made with pieces that would easily see use in your day-to-day life. The complementary green tones of the gents'
waffle cardigan and the
checkered 40s day dress also look fabulous together!
Molly and Cameron are sporting some particularly iconic 40s looks in this image - Cameron wearing Circuit Breaker and Molly wearing Heart Breaker. Our
Granville waistcoat and
trouser set is a long-established favourite among our customers for the classic vintage style it captures. The
Summer Harvest dress, which features a delightful pattern replicated from original 1940s fabric, has also quickly become a smash hit ever since we listed it!
If you're set on the 50s look, these two outfits are for you. Martyn wears Jamboree and Eleanor wears 1950s Festival for an effortless beachy style. The wide, relaxed collars, stylish sunnies and straw hats in both ensembles make them ideal for warmer weather. The neutral tones of the
Gallivant jacket and the
Daydream cardigan mean the looks pair together brilliantly, too!
