What’s the best part of 1940s menswear? The tailoring!

The 1940s gave us one of the most confident and enduring silhouettes ever cut for men. Strong shoulders. A defined waist. A fuller chest with clean drape. High-waisted trousers that lengthen the leg and allow the jacket to fall exactly as it should. It’s a shape built on balance and proportion, and it never went out of style.

At Revival Vintage, authentic midcentury clothing is at the heart of what we do. Now, we're proud to introduce our new tailored collection, a focused release that brings together heritage accuracy, thoughtful updates and complete head-to-toe styling for the season ahead.

The Clubman Suit: Heritage, Refined

The first offering is our heritage inspired Clubman suit.

Clubman Suit - Foundry Grey

The beauty of the Clubman is its versatility. It is formal enough for weddings, polished enough for smart occasions and adaptable enough to wear as separates. The jacket pairs as effortlessly with denim or slacks as it does with its matching trousers. For those drawn to the multi-skilled nature of 1940s tailoring, the Clubman is a natural choice.

The Deliverance Suit: A Vintage Favourite Returns

No 1940s collection would be complete without the Demob suit.

Inspired by the suits issued to servicemen returning to civilian life after the war, the Demob became an icon of British menswear. It symbolised a new beginning, returning to normality, to work, to celebrations and to life beyond uniform. The cut of our Deliverance suit is an exact replica of a Montague Burton suit we have in our archive.

Deliverance Suit - Brown Herringbone

For vintage lovers, the Demob suit remains a cornerstone piece. For newcomers, it’s often the suit that converts them. This suit is an icon in vintage fashion.

The Return Of The Granville Twinsets

We’re also delighted to bring back one of our most requested pieces, the Granville waistcoat and trouser sets. The Granville has always been a favourite for those who appreciate the elegance of 1940s layering. This time, it returns with thoughtful new features while retaining its classic character.

Granville Waistcoat & Trousers - Coastal Tweed

This twinset is a statement piece in its own right, no formal jacket needed. The high-waisted trousers are based on 'Oxford bags' which create an unmistakably vintage silhouette. Worn together, the Granville set offers a refined alternative to a full suit. It’s a piece built for men who appreciate tailored style, but perhaps prefer a more smart-casual approach.

The Perfect Partner: Our New Spearpoint Shirts

A 1940s suit deserves the right foundation. That’s why we’ve also launched our new line of spearpoint collar shirts.

New Spearpoint Collar Shirts

The spearpoint collar is a defining feature of the era, elongated, elegant and designed to sit perfectly beneath a wider 1940s lapel. It completes the silhouette in a way modern collars simply cannot.

When worn with a properly cut jacket, the proportions align. The lapel roll meets the collar point. The tie sits neatly in the space created for it. The overall effect is cohesive and unmistakably vintage. Quite simply, there is no better companion to a 1940s suit.

True Vintage Swing Ties

To complete the look, we’ve just dropped a selection of true vintage silk swing ties and cravats.

Vintage Swing Ties

Each piece carries the character and richness of original midcentury design, bold patterns and textures that are rarely reproduced today. These aren’t reproductions, they’re genuine vintage finds, carefully selected to pair effortlessly with our tailoring.

A well chosen tie transforms a suit. It adds personality without overpowering the cut. With our new suits, spearpoint shirts and swing ties, you can now build a complete, authentic outfit, head to toe!

Ready For The Season Ahead

With the vintage event season fast approaching, there has never been a better time to invest in proper tailoring.

From 1940s weekends and Goodwood-style gatherings to swing dances and heritage events, authentic cut makes all the difference. When the proportions are correct, you don't look dressed up, you look as though you belong. Be sure to check out our vintage events calendar for the latest upcoming dates!

And, of course, wedding season is just around the corner.

Whether you're the groom, part of the wedding party or attending as a guest, a 1940s silhouette offers distinction without excess. It photographs beautifully and it ensures you stand apart for the right reasons.

Our brand new tailoring collection brings together the strength of the Clubman, the heritage of the Deliverance, the versatility of the Granville sets and the finishing touch of spearpoint shirts and true vintage silk ties.

Everything you need for the season ahead.
