Our soft spear collar shirts have all the authentic features of those worn in the thirties and forties.
The long pointed soft collar has topstitching close to the edge. Authentic bib detail shirt front.
This listing is for a collarless "grandad shirt" which comes with a detachable spearpoint collar. They can be worn together, or the shirt can be worn without for a different look. The detachable collar can also be worn with any of our other collarless shirts.
Ideal for those who wish to emulate the 1930s or 1940s wartime look.
The shirts have shoulder and back yokes and a French Placket front. The arms are a little longer than a modern shirt which was true to the period as only one sleeve length was available which is why expanding sleeve garters were often worn to keep sleeves up.
Godet hems for comfort and durability. This particular design has single barrel buttoned cuffs which do not require cufflinks.
Pure white in a superb quality 100% cotton.
