Vintage Easter Parade
EASTER PARADE
Easter is the most important and oldest festival of the Christian Church, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Religious significance aside most people nowadays associate Easter with the opportunity to overdose on a shed load of chocolate.
The custom of giving eggs at Easter celebrates new life. Christians remember that Jesus, after dying on the cross, rose from the dead. This miracle showed that life could win over death.
Don't get me wrong I'm a chocolate lover myself, there's nothing like the snap of a chocolate egg ice cold from the fridge but for me it's also a chance to drool over pretty vintage baskets and all things pastel. I thought I would take the opportunity to share some of my favourites all of which are current stock.
BASKET CASE
I am in the middle of putting a great selection of summer shopping baskets and beach like bags on to the website. I have been lucky enough to spend most of March on a working holiday in Florida which is where I have bought most of these. They will be available to buy from here:
PASTEL PALETTE
I have put together my favourite Easter parade of vintage clothing and accessories from current Revival Vintage stock. These ice cream sundae shades are often associated with the 1950s in particular.
While we are talking Easter I can't help but include a picture of my very own Easter Bunny. Her name is Sunshine and she's so cute we love her. She gets the run of our garden but always hops back into her hutch in the evening so she must be happy with us.
