Mauve Purple Floral 1940s Vintage Tiered Dress
This original forties dress has a beautiful floral pattern, comprising warm pink, yellow and purple shades. The piece is made of a light silk crepe fabric, has short sleeves, and falls below the knee.
The dress's bodice features a row of bevelled black buttons and a cute, small rounded collar. The skirt is gathered at the waist and is constructed with tiers which are separated with contrast piping.
An eye-catching and feminine original 40s dress.
Fastened with the buttons on the bodice and press studs at the side waist.
The dress is in good condition, but a repair has been made to the button placket - this is entirely covered when the dress is fastened. Two buttons have been replaced - one is a very similar style, hardly noticeable, while the bottom button is visibly different. There is also a small scuff to the fabric on the back of the dress near the waist.
