1940s Vintage Gadabout Linen Patch Pocket Jacket
Tropical style cream linen blazer with three patch pockets. (2024 version*)
As always with our Socialite range, we have replicated an original vintage item - in this case, a 1940s tropical jacket.
Key authentic features include:
- Three-button fastening.
- Neat collar with rounded notch lapels. Buttonhole decor.
- No back vents.
- Working cuffs with four buttons.
- Half lined with three internal pockets.
Fabric content is all-natural: 80% linen and 20% cotton.
Teaming this classic jacket with our Gadabout fishtail trousers makes for a fabulous authentic look suit.

*Please note: our 2024 run of the Gadabout items (including the new matching waistcoat) is very slightly different in shade to our previous 2023 run - worth bearing in mind if you already own a piece or pieces from the Gadabout line. The colour is still a beautiful cream linen and the difference is difficult to spot.
Please consult the size chart for measurements. Measurements are accurate to approximately a quarter of an inch.
Our first model, Tom (bow tie), is 5ft 9 and wears a 38" jacket. Simon (neck tie) is 6ft 1 and wears a 40" jacket.
