  • Vintage 1940s Black Velvet Applique Evening Dress

Original vintage forties dress with a black velvet crossover bodice and a contrast silk skirt that features beautiful velvet embroidery in the shape of flowers.

Short sleeves. A metal zip fastens at the side. The crossover bodice is secured in place with two black metal poppers.

A beautiful forties piece with authentic and well-detailed features that makes it a rare find.

We've included a matching black velvet belt from our own spares that fits the waist perfectly and covers the only damage to the dress: a very small repair to the fabric of the skirt very close to the waist. Otherwise, the dress is in lovely vintage condition.

    Bust: 34 inch / 86.4 cm
    Waist: 26 inch / 66 cm
    Length: 43 inch / 109.2 cm
