Black Embellished Vintage 1940s Cape Coat
This incredible original forties coat gives a glamorous and elegant look when worn. The oversized shape of the coat is made feminine by the whimsical vintage details: note the sleeves, which are cut in a soft curve, and the floral embroidery and embellishments on the drop shoulder.
A luxurious outerwear choice for a vintage fashion enthusiast. The cape coat features two pockets and is held closed with one button near the neck.
No tag to indicate the fabric composition, but the exterior of the coat feels like a wool twill.
The coat is in great condition for its age but there have been some rough repairs made to the underarms, and there is still some small fraying to the neck. There is also some light wear to the buttonhole that fastens the coat at the neck. None of these areas are visible when the coat is worn.
